The Statue of Freedom
The Statue of Freedom
Bellagio Las Vegas
Technical design, fabrication and 3D printing of a 28' high reproduction of the Statue of Freedom and of a structure representing the architecture of Washington's Capitol as part of the spring display in the gardens of the Bellagio Conservatory.
Task: To recreate the Statue of Freedom that sits atop the Capitol in Washington D.C.
Challenge: The statue had to be as light as possible for logistical reasons.
Our solution: 3D printing makes it possible to achieve the desired shape with significantly less weight than fiberglass. There is little to no waste with this technique, since 3D printing uses only the material needed to replicate the volume. A 100% recyclable process.
